Carolina has lived a double life since a very young age. A kind demeanor and constant smile have served as the perfect veils for an internal struggle; one plagued by a wild imagination and a deep understanding of the human condition. Each of her paintings showcases the dichotomy of her persona: joyful or sad, pained or in pleasure, dream or nightmare, true naiveté or cursed with understanding. Carolina’s art wraps each spectator in their own dualism, transporting them to a satisfyingly uncomfortable place of truth and self-reflection.
